Frequently Asked Questions

What makes us different from “bootcamps” and outdoor aerobic classes?

We believe the fitness should be personal; not everyone should be performing the same workout as the person next to them. Maybe they can do push ups but you can not because of a torn rotator cuff. Maybe you are fit enough to run and do plyometric movements, but other people get winded walking. Why should your body or your workout suffer doing the same thing everyone else does? So we take a personalized approach with each and every client in class. It is suggested (although not required) that you purchase 3 initial private sessions so that we can get to know you better. This is offered at a special price of $99 (save $140!!) In these first three sessions your trainer will asses your range of motion, your cardiovascular fitness levels and your base line strength levels.  From there you will be ready to jump into your group. You can pick any group at any location - you can come everyday if you want! Rest assured that each workout will be different and adapted to your needs.

Are all sessions outside?

No, we have several sessions located indoor at Pure: sports, fitness and therapy

How does the trainer know what to do each time I show up?

First, you log into our website and PRE-sign yourself into class (up to 3 hours before). This way the trainer shows up with your chart and a program custom tailored for you, ready for your workout.

Do you limit the class size?

Yes! We limit each session to no more then 12 clients. This is the number we feel that we can train safely, and accurately while still giving the feel of a personal workout for you, the client, without anyone’s session quality being compromised.

Why is the session in Irvine (or Strands) Only once a week?

We find that a lot of clients do a variety of activities (running, dance, yoga etc) so this is a great way to add in circuit to the workout. For clients that live in those areas and would like to see more classes there, please post a request. As soon as 4 clients are interested we will add another slot to that area!

What is the difference between this and one-on-one training?

We can only do so much to individualize each person’s session. During these outdoor group training camps our focus is on maximizing your personal workout, it does not however mean that we are working on individual biomechanical adjustments, or making corrections. Private sessions every once in a while will help to keep your workout as personal as possible (this is not, however, required).

How much would a personal session cost?

Our rate is $85 for a one on one session. $120 for a physical therapy session with Natalie.

How much will this cost me?

$150 per month (NO contract) for unlimited session. Or you can purchase a 5, 10, or 20 pack of sessions.

What if I need to cancel my contract?

Not a problem. Log in 30 days before your next autopay and hit the cancel membership link!

Can I transfer my contract to someone else?

            Yes!

I am not ready to commit for a whole month… can I just pay per class?

Yes! You can purchase a 5, 10 or 20 class pass. These sessions do not expire and can be used at our indoor locations or any of our camps.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! We are very kid and dog friendly, however if you are looking for a great workout exclusively for moms and their children we highly recommend Stroller Strides!

Can I come late to a workout or leave early?

Absolutely! If you’re running late or if you need to leave early that is fine. Your workout starts when you get there. Warm up, Main workout and Cool down! So if we only have 30 or 45 minutes, that is no problem!

What if I sign up online, but then cannot make my private session?

Cancellation can be made online up to 24 hours prior to the appointment time. After the 24 hours period, cancellation can be done by phone at no charge if the appointment is rescheduled at that time. No show appointments will be charged full fee.

What should I wear?

Something easy to work out in: gym shorts, T-shirts, jogging, aerobic and sweat outfits are all right for exercising, but street clothes/shoes and jeans are not. Remember to dress in layers if we are outdoors

What should I bring?

At our indoor sessions we provide water and towels but at our outdoor sessions you will need to bring water, and you may want to bring a sweat towel, other than that everything else is provided.

Will Natalie always be the trainer?

While Natalie will be your lead trainer, on occasion she may have an assistant training you.

Where are the camps located?

We have several locations around South County.

Aliso Viejo- Ridgecrest Park (aliso creek rd/eastwing)

San Clemente- Linda Lane Park (Palizada/encino)

Strands Beach off Selva Road

Are there indoor sessions?

Yes! We have very early morning circuit classes indoors, as well as a whole class schedule and workshop schedule. All indoor classes currently take place at the OC outdoor fitness headquarters at our sister company  PURE Fitness 8 Whatney Suite 123, Irvine CA 92618

Do I have to pay extra for indoor sessions?

No! All sessions are part of the same package and can be used for any workout.
